The day we learned colors

The day we learned colors also happened to be the day that we, incidentally, learned the slang word for poop (xra; don’t use it around Moroccan friends unless you aim to offend). Try to imagine what happens when 5 rather tired Peace Corps trainees learn those two things in the same day (this was on the second day of 2 days of training sessions totaling 9 loooong hours). Keep in mind this is less than a week after getting an hour long lesson about diarrhea. Our ability to describe the color of our xra went up exponentially that day. Hopefully we never need to say xra zraq, but if there’s a day that one of us poops blue, at least we can say it in Darija. L-Hamdullah (for the small Darija capability, not the potential blue poop)
